Making a futuristic plane in 3D studio max

Here is an image of my basic futuristic plane. i started with a cylindrical shape and extruded it to create the tip of the aircraft. i then extruded the edge to create one of the wings. I then extruded and moved the wing until it looks acceptable and then added a fin. I now have half of my aircraft. The next step was to cut the aircraft in half down the cylinder and then go to tools > mirror. This created a mirrored copy of the left side of the aircraft. The aircraft was then made whole by moving the two halfs closer to eachother then welding the vertexes. i then added a second cylinder as an engine. i extruded the central vertex inward and also coppied this in a mirror to the other wing.
